Lead Adventures

Lead Adventures has been around since 2004 and knows Ecuador intimately. The people who run its 20 different volunteer programs throughout South America are passionate about Ecuador. Lead Adventures believes that a truly authentic experience of a place can only be offered if the specialists really know it themselves, therefore Lead chooses to focus all the attention on a small number of places - Quito, Galapagos Islands, and the Amazon & Andes regions.

You can choose from a number of Lead Adventures' volunteer programs focusing on the following areas:

- Conservation
- Animal Rescue
- Teaching English
- Social Programs (assisting at day care centres)

Lead Adventures can also build you a custom-made experience that gives you a unique opportunity to live and work in a local South American community, while making a real difference in people’s lives and the environment. Live with like-minded volunteers, quickly make new friends, and experience Ecuador as it really is.

Why Choose Lead Adventures?

Exceptional Local Support - Lead's bilingual, experienced local staff is always there to help you get the most out of your experience as a volunteer.

Security and Experience - Lead's superb local knowledge and contacts mean they have the safest and fastest security and emergency procedures in the unlikely event that an emergency arises.

Value - Lead's administrative costs are much lower than agencies based in Europe or the USA. This enables them to offer lower prices for our volunteer programs compared to other international volunteer agencies. Additionally, because they are the operators of these programs rather than the agents, they can guarantee cost efficiency. Cutting out the middle man saves YOU money.

True Local Impact - You will be truly making a difference to the area you visit. Every task you undertake will be meaningful and really have an impact on the local area.

Testimonials

"Most of the people I met during my time on the Galapagos were visiting for 3 days, 5 days or at most, on an 8 day cruise round the islands. Through Lead I got 3 weeks (and then a week by myself) in which I did so much! I got to see so many aspects of the island and more importantly for me, as tourism is such a big part of the Galapagos but also a part that causes possibly the most damage, being able to volunteer, help look after the Islands really made all the difference, and everyone on this programme makes a difference. It really is a chance of a lifetime, and it was the best time of my life, thanks Lead."

"I had the time of my life at Andes Rescue Center, I would go back again in a heartbeat. I must say I didn’t quite know what I was getting myself into, but whatever expectations I might have had this exceeded them. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming and I felt I really achieved a lot there. This place changed me in so many ways and I’m so grateful that I went that as soon as I have the time and the money I’m going back!
